VLADIKA DANIEL IN A MEETING WITH MEXICAN PRESIDENT

Boca del Rio, Veracruz, Mexico, September 3. Vladika Daniel, Bishop of Mexico, was invited to participate in a meeting with Mexican President Vicente Fox and with Veracruz Governor Fidel Herrera. During this meeting, President Fox presented a state-of-the-nation address. “We live in a country with freedom and social peace: nobody is persecuted by political or religious reasons”, President said. “In our country, we privilege dialogue, negotiation and understanding”. After meeting, Vladika Daniel conversed with representatives from other Churches, including Roman Catholic, Anglican and Protestant. Governor Herrera is a main supporter of Religious Freedom, and heads an equalitarian open political for all the Churches in Veracruz, without some distinction.
