February 10, 2008, during the Sunday's Holy Liturgy, His Holiness Patriarch Moses honored archpriest Vasyliy with the episcopal ordination and appointed him as Chor-bishop of Uzhhorod and the Transcarpathian region.
Patriarch said that that day we were the witnesses of the descent of the Holy Spirit upon man who was called by Lord for serving to God and people for salvation. Who was called for the confirmation of the faith of Christ, Salutary faith through the report of the living Word of God. Through the report of evangelic teachings in all its entirety to wishful souls, who are sincerely searching for the Holy Verity at the hardened present time. And that ministration won't be easy, it shouldn't be easy as God gives the trials to pass them worthily with the help of God and growing spiritually to lead the way for people.
Let's pray for Vladyka Vasyliy, let God strengthen him with His Angels and inspire with His gifts of Prophesy, Homily and Apostleship from heart to heart.

Glory to Jesus Christ!
Dear brothers and sisters!
Today a very significant event for me has happened in my life. The Holy Spirit has descended upon me and continues descending...
I want to say that today was the sermon from evangelist Luke about Zacchaeus. We have the great number of people such this Zacchaeus in Ukraine. But whom they will see if they want to hear the words of verity in order to heal and choose the righteous way? Only having seen such preachers who have already beheld Moses' teachings and armed with the knowledge of God's Verity for all of us to carry it through our country from heart to heart. Our people are very thirsty for verity and the great majority of people think and know right that everything that is going on in our country is a great lie. The corruption that practically oppresses us and consider people to be its slaves. But people don't know what to do for Ukraine to come out from this darkness and bless itself with the God's Way, at which Lord aims us. Because we can come to happy life only by going along the God's way. To throw off all the evil and all the vermin that nowadays attacks Ukraine. Only through prayers, through blessings, through our attainments, through our sermons, through the knowledge of our fellowmen, through love that God gives us we will be able to clear our country, to clear Ukraine.
And there, in the Transcarpathian region, I hope to do my best in order the cleanup of our nation happens. And in order to our nation really becomes the God's nation, not the slaves. And in order to throw off the slavish yoke and to start building Kingdom of God in Ukraine in order to God accept us in His Kingdom for which he prepares us. Where will be eternity, where will be justice, where will be God's Love and Grace.
Pray God the Holy Spirit descend through us upon all of you, upon our nation, upon our Ukrainian land. And not only upon our Ukrainian land, but upon all the Earth, the Universe, Space. Let the God's Justice triumph!
