A week before Easter Sunday, on the 6th Sunday of Lent, Patriarch Moses served the Holy Divine Liturgy dedicated to the day of Entrance of Our Lord into Jerusalem - the day of earthy glory and royal honours to the Son of God before His conscious sacrificing of Himself for the salvation of the humankind, for the salvation of every of us.
By the evangelic story, when Jesus Christ had raised Lazarus from the dead, people, who saw that, believed that He is indeed the Son of God. Believed by their mind and felt by their heart the Divine Presence. And when Jesus was entering Jerusalem, riding a donkey, people were spreading His way by their clothes and palm branches. "And the crowds that went before him and that followed him were shouting, "Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest!" (Matthew 21:9).
And if people fall silent, the stones would start to glorify Jesus. As that was the time before the great suffer, before God's sacrificing of His Son to this people. People, who in three days shouted: "Let, let Him be crucified!"
Nowadays the Christians of the whole world on the day of Entrance of Our Lord to Jerusalem, take the palm or willow branches in their hands, glorifying Jesus Christ, the Son of God and Our Saviour, who took upon Himself the suffers for the sins of the humankind and so allowed us time and possibility to save ourselves. To save ourselves is to take the teaching of Jesus by mind and heart, to fulfil His precepts, to love God and people, to do the good deeds. To save ourselves is to glorify Our Lord Jesus Christ with our deeds and with our life.
