On August 28, on the Day of Assumption of the Mother of God, the city of Uzhgorod had a great Blessing of God through the sacred procession of UAOC-canonical, headed by Moses, Patriarch of Kyiv and All Rus-Ukraine.
After the holy prayer to God and to the Queen of Heaven during the Divine Liturgy, the populous procession, carrying the shroud of Assumption of the Mother of God took a course from the Holy trinity Chapel to the Andrew the First Called Chapel, striving for consecrating both souls of people and their houses.
The people, who love God, were triumphantly coming along the streets of Uzhgorod, along the central square by the administrative institutions, mirroring the beams of sun with the gold radiance, with the prayerful singing to God, Mother of God and all the saints of Rus-Ukraine, begging the blessing for all the people of this land.
The sacred procession stroke a deep chord in the hearts of citizens of Uzhgorod: some were piously stopping, some were making the sign of the Cross, and some joined the prayer willingly, if not the sacred procession itself.
The Light of Truth, Verity and Love was ascended upon the city on that day, upon the souls of its inhabitants.
