With the Blessing of Patriarch Moses and the Holy Synod of the Ukrainian
Autocephalous Orthodox Church-Canonical, Archimandrite Andrei (Jhon Jairo
Delgado Carmona) was ordained to the Episcopacy, at the Sanctuary of the
Holy Face of the City of Pereira, Department of Risaralda, Colombia, and
endowed with the title of Bishop of Pereira and All Colombia.
The main person in this Chirothony was Archbishop Daniel of Mexico and All
Latin-America, with Archbishop Iurii of California as Chor-Chirothonizing.
Vladika Daniel traveled to Colombia as special delegate of His Holiness
Moses.
Orthodox communities from Bogota, Tulua, Neiva, Ibague, Bucaramanga,
Manizales, Pereira and Desquebradas filled the Sanctuary, where a
miraculously appeared Icon of the Holy Face of Our Lord Jesus Christ is
venerated, between Miracles and Divine Gifts.
At the beginning of the Divine Liturgy, Vladika Daniel also ordained Readers
Varfolomiy (Luis Eduardo Sanchez), Matviyko (Elkin Vargas) and Tadei
(Fernando Giraldo) as Hipodeacons, and Seminar Luka (Javier Roa) as Reader.
In every moment, the Presence of God was really strong. The devote prayer
rose to Heaven and filled the hearts of people with the light of Divine
Grace, the peace of Our Lord Jesus Christ and the joyful of the Holy Spirit.
Let's pray for Vladyka Andrei: let God strengthen him with His Angels and
inspire with His gifts of Prophecy, Homily and Apostleship from heart to
heart.
Some days before his ordination to the Episcopacy, Archimandrite Andrei was
interviewed by local television.
