In 1995 Vladyka Moses (then priest Oleg) sincerely served the Lord and people in far America. But the isolation from native Ukraine, like a raw wound, always reminded of itself and created the need of having living being beside. Thus, the puppy of Airedale terrier, named Archie, had appeared in Vladyka’s life. Coincidentally, how turned out afterwards, he had Ukrainian roots – Archie was the grandson of Ukrainian champion.

That dog became the devoted friend. Despite his reticence, he imparted the great spiritual treasure of the dog’s soul: devotion, love, confidence. These merits are in great deficit among people today.

In 2000 Vladyka Moses returned to native Ukraine with his friend Archie. But in life, beside a great joy there is always a great grief. Archie died from the bite of encephalitic mite. As if he had accomplished his mission to support his master in the far country. And having accomplished his mission he went to a better world.

The years were passing, but the love to devoted friend Archie didn’t die away.

Can the Lord return this loss?

Once, working at home, Vladyka heard his dog calling him. Having glanced out of the window, he saw somewhere underneath his Archie. Archie was dirty from the slush, thin, afraid, and beside him burned the earth big cars and walked indifferent people.

It took a few minutes to went down in lift and ran up to street. “Archie, Archie, come to me”, - the dog was waiting for nothing else but that. It lightly followed Vladyka. And then, according to some signs, it turned out that this dog had a hard luck. Most probably it was simply thrown out from house, like unnecessary thing. Unfortunately, sincere friendship and love are not in favour now. And as also had turned out, new Archie had excellent inborn qualities and even a club mark- tattoo. At the kennel, where Vladyka had addressed, answered that it was really their dog but nobody was searching it. There are rather a few strays in Kyiv and to meet a highbred Airedale with a club mark is almost impossible. And if to add that this dog appeared in the right place and in the right time, and was seen by the man, who needed just that meeting,- it is evidently can’t be occasionality. That can’t happen by chance.

Thus the loving and devoted friend Archie returned in the life of Vladyka Moses.

But this is not already the end of the story.

It emerged that the new Archie is a girl.

The time had passed and the dog took a start and gained strength. The time had come when the handsome and tender Airedale was found for Archie. In two months she had eleven puppies, splendid God’s creatures, that will fill the lives of people with the light of love.

And meanwhile Vladyka Moses has twelve (!) Airedales together with their mother.

It is a real bounty from God!
