In the name of the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit. Amen!
Glory to Jesus Christ, dear brothers and sisters!
Today we hear the holy Gospel of Luke about the ten lepers, who knew that Jesus was a healer and that they can be healed by Him (Luke, 17:12-19). And as he walked along, they began to cry: "Lord, son of David, help us heal!" And they cried so, that it was clear they really wanted to heal. The Lord then said, " Go and show yourselves to the priests," - and they went away. And when they went on the road, they were healed. And one came back to Jesus and began to thank him: "Thank you Jesus that I received healing from you." And Jesus says: "Were not ten cleansed? Where are the nine?", that means "What about the others, haven't they received healing, seeing they did not even come to thank?"
But Jesus said: "Go and show yourselves to the priests", that meant that the lepers were healed, because they had no right to appear near people while sick. They lived very far away on the outskirts, in various slums, in crevices among rocks, and, as ascetics found a refuge for them not been seen and beaten by stones. And when they received healing, they had to appear before priest who served as a doctor here. He looked at them and determined whether they were healed or not, whether they could be allowed into family life.
And then Jesus immediately said to them: "Go and show yourselves to the priests." That meant: "Go, you are healed." But only one in ten came back to thank God, and the Lord was surprised with that.
And in our lives the same thing happens so often - when we are in trouble, we ask: "Oh God, help me get out of this misfortune, Oh God!" We pray sincerely and we ask Him help us very much. Every person must agree with this.
And when God helps us, then black angel whispers immediately: "Don't mind, it had to happen." Do you understand?
Remember that every good thing does not happen for any reason. For the prince of this world, the fallen angel, he does not want anything good happen to us. He will organize us such a situation from which we will shout at all the world and will curse God, rather than to curse the devil.
You know, our soul is arranged in a very interesting way. So anything that can ease the devil is cunning, deceit, malice, betrayal of friends and so on. And endless flow of such thing, all that is done by devil. Devil cannot do good and it also does not happen by itself. But when it happens, it is from God. And when we wake up in the morning and see lovely weather outside, we must understand that it is from God. God protects our earth, cares for the power of sunlight. If even there is the smallest flash in the sun, we can hardly breathe, we have problems with heart - arrhythmia, high blood pressure, etc.. Can you imagine how God cares for that every day for us is good, and every day is filled with His goodness. And when we are trapped in a very big problem, we cry: "God, help, God, I beg You" - we make a very sincere appeal to Him. And when the help comes, we forget to thank Him and say: "Oh, so this had to happen, why then give thanks?" Do you understand?
It is when people go to lectures - go tired, thirsty, in general, as dead. And when they have visited these lectures and they later receive good blessings from God, then they say themselves, because an evil angel does its job: "But, it had to be so. Nothing special, it had to happen." You see, your health has improved - because it had to happen so or what?!
And those nine lepers, they also thought so: "Oh, it had to happen." But they saw, being lepers, that their skin was swollen, all in wound, in all possible diseases, they had terrible hair. They were the worst monsters among the monsters, you know? And then they go along the road and were healed. And they went away thinking, "Oh, it had to happen." And only one of them returned to thank Jesus for healing. And that was not a Jew, but a Samaritan. So the person of the lower level as it was considered, because Jews did not communicate with the Samaritans. And so he came back to Jesus, dropped to his knees and thanked God for he had been healed. All they see he thanked God, seeing that he was healed. And that leper testified in such a manner, through whom God worked on earth - through Jesus. That healing went through Jesus. He thanked Jesus, though Jesus did not need his thanks. But Jesus said: "Were all healed? Why are others ungrateful?" You have understood why, because devil does not sleep, because he says immediately: "Oh, it had to happen."
But it had not to happen. All the good that is in our lives happens only by the will of the Heavenly Father. Understand? For this we must always give thanks: "Thank You, God, that we are healthy today, that we pray here, that our children are playing, pleasing us with their voices, that Angels come to us and help. Thank You, God, that our Ukraine is growing up, though evil force does terrible things in politics, lewdness on television and so on. But anyway thank You that it is so, not worse. Thank You, God, that You clean the air for us, which we pollute greatly, that You purify water we pollute, that You cleanses Earth for us! "
A month later, on January 19, the energetic purification of the entire globe will happen - purification of all the waters of the Earth. Who will do that, devil? It is clear that the Creator of the Universe!
"Thank You, God that our souls are cleansed when we pray here, that our blood is purified by Your Holy Spirit, by Your grace!" Because you scarcely leave from here, you are polluted again.
"Thank You God, thank You, God!" And so on and on.
"Every breath let praise the Lord."
Let's praise God for all the good. As all the good is God. So do not be like those nine lepers, or not all of you have been cleansed?
Let us be such as the one of the nine who nevertheless came back to Jesus and said: "Thank You, Lord!" Thank you, priest, that God healed me through you or made me wiser or cleared me. "Thank You, thank You, Lord!"
And we thank our Lord Jesus Christ that he was here on Earth with His great love, taught us, was crucified, but rose up again and ascended into heaven. "For He is going to come in the glory and then he will repay each person according to what he has done" (Matthew, 16:27). Thank You, Lord, that You are with us and do not leave us! Amen!
Glory to Jesus Christ!

Apostle (Åphesians, 5:9-19):
5
9 (for the fruit of light is found in all that is good and
right and true),
10 and try to discern what is pleasing to the Lord.
11Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but
instead expose them.
12 For it is shameful even to speak of the things that they
do in secret.
13 But when anything is exposed by the light, it becomes
visible,
14 for anything that becomes visible is light. Therefore it
says,
"Awake, O sleeper,
and arise from the dead,
and Christ will shine on you."
15 Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as
wise,
16 making the best use of the time, because the days are
evil.
17 Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will
of the Lord is.
18 And do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery,
but be filled with the Spirit,
19 addressing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual
songs, singing and making
melody to the Lord with your heart,
Gospel (Luke, 17:12-19):
17
12 And as he entered a village, he was met by ten lepers, who
stood at a distance
13 and lifted up their voices, saying, "Jesus, Master, have
mercy on us."
14 When he saw them he said to them, "Go and show yourselves
to the priests.
" And as they went they were cleansed.
15 Then one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned
back, praising God
with a loud voice;
16 and he fell on his face at Jesus' feet, giving him thanks.
Now he was a Samaritan.
17 Then Jesus answered, "Were not ten cleansed? Where are the
nine?
18 Was no one found to return and give praise to God except
this foreigner?"
19 And he said to him, "Rise and go your way; your faith has
made you well."
