In the name of the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit! Amen!
Glory to Jesus Christ, dear brothers and sisters!
There is God among us invisibly.
Happy St. Nicholas Day!
The Catholic world is preparing to celebrate the Nativity of Jesus Christ - in the USA it is called Christmas. And we have St. Nicholas Day at this time. And Nicholas always come to us on December 19 and on the same day began to travel all over the houses in cities, all houses in villages, distributing presents. And this tradition was established long ago. But when it came, as I have told you about earlier and I repeat it again, demonic Soviet power, they "killed" St. Nicholas. As they could not allow anything to be connected with God and they could not allow people to see that all the good came from God, i.e. candies, presents. And they sent St. Nicholas in exile , say, somewhere far away - in Siberia, in Lapland ...
But they had to replace Saint Nicholas by someone else for the kids. They thought up a werewolf instead of St. Nicholas and named him Grandfather Frost. He had hardly entered the house, he already had a red nose, he had already drunk off. So he is just a kind of animator. He comes and all the children cry: "Oh, Grandfather Frost, you have a red nose!" If he does not manage to do anything then children ask: "Where is your granddaughter, Snow Maiden?" And then Snow Maiden appears.
And this lie has been existing in our lives for 70, 80 or 90 years. And as we were trained in the Soviet era to live in deception, not knowing the real truth, then we continued to call this Grandfather frost with a red nose, an old retired KGBist: have you brought us presents, or dunk them away somewhere ?
However, St. Nicholas "emigrated" to other countries. And when he "arrived" to Germany, they called him Nicholas there, having made him a German. And there he was giving presents. Then he "went" to America. And there they tend to shorten names so they named him Claus. Part of the name "Ni"was gone, only "Claus" was left. But there remained a tradition with Nicholas everywhere that he came when he was not seen, and gave gifts, and gave the good. Because Nicholas loved to do good, but not for people to praise him, he just wanted to do good for people.
The Spirit of God led him in such a way, that Nicholas felt his wealth as a burden. And when his parents died, he began to give the wealth to people in a reasonable ways. Not just: "Folks, roll up, grab up, what you want to!" And then who was stronger, would roll up, would hit one another on the head, picked up what he wanted and so on. No, he determined by himself whom he would give good. And he himself, as we know, secretly went and gave some presents not to be praised, but that it could adequately serve as a benefit for spiritual benefit.
So people liked Nicholas even more than anyone else, not just Orthodox people, not only Catholics, but the Protestant world also, which although does not recognize the saints. They do not recognize saints, but they recognize St. Nicholas, as they receive also the presents from Santa Claus. However, people gave him residence in Lapland. These are inventions of people. But besides that, we know that he is really Saint Nicholas. That he is a real true prototype and he protects the Earth, taking care of us, pray for us to God. He is not greater than Jesus in any case, and you do not need to pray daily: "St. Nicholas, help me" - as Ukrainian people like to pray. And sometimes pray to St. Nicholas even more than to Jesus Himself. We should pray to St. Nicholas 2 times a year. And yet, just on this day - December 19, he really brings the presents. He begging the Lord for those people who behaved well before the Lord. And yet we have such tradition that we are waiting for gifts. If the children behave well, St. Nicholas can give some present. He already knows everything from the Lord and he sees everything . So I congratulate you on this holiday, it is very good and happy holiday. Thus the Christmas holidays begin with St. Nicholas day.
After that we are waiting for the nativity of the Lord and then the Epiphany comes. So the holidays are coming one after another, such a period comes.
Happy St. Nicholas Day!
Glory to Jesus Christ!
